SERVICES

Installation Details To ensure a smooth and easy delivery, be sure to review the following before completing your purchase.

1) Be sure all Driveways, Walkways, Steps are free of Snow, Ice, Dirt, Mud. To ensure a SAFE and CLEAN delivery. Walk the Path to make sure there is plenty of room for Delivery persons to maneuver and reach final install location. Inspect and Have the Path way Clear before Delivery arrives.

2) Check all dimensions to ensure the new unit will fit in the space, have proper hookups before purchase.

3) Download detailed installation instructions for your appliance from the product spec page

4) Review the delivery and installation requirements for your product line below.

Ranges

Delivery may include: removing all packing materials, connecting power cord, installing anti-tip device, setting in place, leveling, and plugging-in.

We require the installation of the anti-tip device for any free-standing or slide-in electric or gas range. Our Delivery agents will not leave the unit in the kitchen without attaching the anti-tip device. Installation of the anti-tip device requires that small holes be drilled in the floor or wall behind the range.

Must have a dedicated, properly grounded 220/240-volt branch circuit, protected by a 40 amp circuit breaker.

Electric ranges require a new cord. Due to electrical code requirements, an approved cord must be purchased with any new electric range. Existing cords may no longer be safe. A cord must be added to your order and delivered with your range.

If your current range is wired directly into a wall (meaning there is no plug to disconnect), the range must be disconnected prior to delivery of your new range.

The installation options for gas ranges vary by location. State or local code requirements may prohibit delivery agents from installing certain types of gas appliances. Please consult your local building code requirements for additional information.

Gas ranges are shipped from the factory set for natural gas. Some models may include an optional LP conversion kit at no additional charge, for all other models, please consult the user's manual for specific purchase information.

Our delivery agents are not able to offer gas conversion for gas ranges. A qualified AGA installer should complete this conversion. The gas supply line must conform to local building code requirements.

If haul away or appliance removal is available in your area, the existing product must be disconnected prior to delivery.

Installation is not offered in most areas for either GE Café or GE Profile™ dual fuel ranges. State or local code requirements may prohibit delivery agents from installing certain types of gas appliances. Please consult your local building code requirements for additional information.

Due to installation restrictions, our delivery agents are not able to install slide-in or drop-in ranges.

In some cases, it may be necessary to contract with a 3rd party (i.e. plumber,electrician) to complete installation due to local code requirements. If this is the case, installation will be completed as soon as possible, but may not be able to be completed the same day as your chosen delivery date.

Cooktops & Wall Ovens

State or local code requirements may prohibit delivery agents from installing certain types of built-in appliances. Please consult your local building code requirements for additional information.Please consult installation instructions for complete installation details specific to your model.

Microwaves Microwaves/Advantiums -120V:

There must be a 110/120-volt, three prong, grounded electrical outlet protected by a dedicated 15 or 20-amp circuit breaker. The outlet must be located in the cabinet above the microwave oven. If the current outlet is not in that location, you must have a qualified electrician move the outlet to the proper location prior to delivery. The installer will NOT be able to install or relocate an outlet.

If you wish to exhaust the microwave to the outside, an exhaust duct must exist in the cabinet above the new OTR microwave space. This duct must be rectangular with dimensions of 31/4" x 10" to match up with the new OTR microwave exhaust, installers cannot modify any existing venting or install new vent.

The back wall where the OTR microwave is to be installed must be free of tile or other hard materials; installers do not carry masonry bits and cannot drill through tile.



Microwaves/Advantiums -240V:

This product requires a four-prong grounded outlet. Product rating is 120/208 or 120/240 volts, 60 Hertz, 30 amps and 6.5 kilowatts. This product must be connected to an individual properly grounded branch circuit protected by circuit breakers or time delay fuses.

The outlet box should be located in the cabinet above the oven. The outlet box and supply circuit should be installed by a qualified electrician and conform to National Electrical Code (NEC) or prevailing local code.

The back wall where the OTR microwave is to be installed must be free of tile or other hard materials; installers do not carry masonry bits and cannot drill through tile.

Delivery does not include the installation of a countertop microwave that is built into cabinetry using a built-in microwave trim kit.

Washers & Dryers

Washer delivery may include: removing all packing materials, removing shipping rod, connecting water hoses, connecting drain, leveling, and plugging-in.

Dryer delivery may include: removing all packing materials, connecting power cord, connecting to vent, leveling, and plugging-in, and setting in place.

Delivery does NOT include under-counter installations.

Hot and cold water shut-off valves for washers must be identified and easily accessible. The hookups must be in good condition.

The washer drain standpipe should be between 34 and 60 inches tall.

State or local code requirements may prohibit delivery agents from installing certain types of gas appliances. Please consult your local building code requirements for additional information.

Dryers must be attached to a metal vent. Installation does not include altering the direction or the location of the dryer vent. If the vent is clogged, it must be cleaned before installation.

Gas dryers are shipped from the factory set for natural gas. An optional LP conversion kit is available. Please consult the use and care manual for purchase information. Our delivery agents are not able to offer gas conversion. A qualified AGA installer should complete this conversion.

If haul away or appliance removal is available in your area, the existing product must be disconnected prior to delivery.

Electric dryers must have a dedicated properly grounded 220/240 volt branch circuit, protected by a 30 amp circuit breaker or a time-delay fuse.

Electric dryers require a new cord. Due to electrical code requirements, an approved cord must be purchased with any new electric dryer. Existing cords may no longer be safe. A cord must be added to your order and delivered with your dryer.

If the outlet for your new dryer is not consistent with the outlet type required for your specific product, the delivery agent will not be able to connect your dryer. You must have the proper outlet installed by an electrician. See the product specifications for details.

Our delivery agents will install/attach pedestals to washers and dryers only if purchased at the same time. GE delivery agents are unable to install pedestals purchased on a separate order or at separate times.

Dishwashers

The dishwasher must be installed no more than 7 feet from sink for proper drainage Delivery agents cannot complete installation if the shut-off valve is in a crawl space or basement location.

In some areas, we cannot complete installation to an existing copper waterline due to local plumbing restrictions.

Room Air Conditioners

Delivery does not include installation. All wiring, including installation of receptacle, must be made in accordance with local electrical codes and regulations. The electrical outlet should be in reach of line cord; extension cords are not advised. Please consult installation instructions for complete installation details specific to your model.

Water Filters & Softeners

Note: Most of the following delivery and installation details do not apply to Monogram appliances or orders that include Monogram appliances. Detailed Monogram installation instructions can be found on the model specification pages.

Installation is not included. Call 1-260-747-7809 for a certified water product installer in your area.

Water Softeners need to be within 5 feet of water inlet to the house, within 10 feet of a drain, and also within 10 feet of a 120-volt grounded electrical outlet.

Venting Systems & Hoods

Installation is not offered in most areas. There are many types of ventilation systems and associated accessories. Please confirm you have included any accessories required for installation with your ventilation system purchase.
